2021 Numerica Charitable Fund Recipients

Apr. 21, 2021

$300,000 granted through 2021 Numerica Charitable Fund

Numerica Credit Union is distributing more than $300,000 to the community from the 2021 Numerica Charitable Fund. The money will be spread among 30 nonprofits as part of the annual grant program, funded by members through Skip a Pay.*

“Numerica is proud to support organizations that foster education, support women and children, and work to end hunger and homelessness.” Numerica President & CEO Carla Cicero said. “This annual grant program is just another way we show our commitment to enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams and building communities.”

Recipients address systemic issues

The Numerica Charitable Fund is focused on addressing systemic issues facing the region. The nonprofits receiving 2021 grants stood out for innovative, inclusive, and collaborative efforts making a deep impact in areas such as:

  • Generational poverty
  • Hunger
  • Homelessness
  • Domestic violence
  • Access to quality education

Additionally, many organizations continue to confront added challenges connected to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are truly grateful for the continued support from Numerica Credit Union,” said Chris Deitz, Spokane city director for Big Table. “Together we are providing hope and making waves of change in the community. As you are well aware, the restaurant and hospitality community continues to reel as the pandemic goes on. Your support is key in the care being provided.”

A passion for giving

The Numerica Charitable Fund is just one way Numerica gives back to the Spokane, North Idaho, Tri-Cities, and Wenatchee communities. In 2020, Numerica contributed more than $1.8 million back to the community — nearly 6.5% of net income. In addition, Numerica team members found safe and innovative ways to volunteer more than 10,000 hours in the community.

“In times of both crisis and prosperity, great communities find opportunities for helping others and giving back,” Cicero said. “I’m so inspired by the commitment of our Numerica team to the well-being of the communities we serve.”
